Artist: Jas Lin in collaboration with Hearthealer Title: NEMATOCYST Music: Hearthealer Costume: Arsenios Zachariadis Bio: jas lin 林思穎 is a performance artist, choreographer, and movement facilitator born and based in los angeles. lin stages exorcisms and tantrums for purging choreographies of the learned body and shutting down internal and external surveillance cameras that suggest there is a Proper way to move through the world. they value performance as a ritual of deep presence– by returning to our senses, we can reawaken to our possibility, connection, and agency within the world around us. lin’s practice emerges from a vast lineage of teachers, from friendships to films to flowers. centering play in the everyday, they experiment with multiplicity and contradiction while dancing with the world as their body. jas’s choreographies, films, workshops, and lectures have been shared around the world, including at MAK Center for Art & Architecture, Danshallerne Copenhagen, and Mitski’s Laurel Hell Tour. NEMATOCYST is a performance created in collaboration with Hearthealer, a writer, DJ, and producer who crafts world-building, narrative-centric music. Named after the stinging cells of jellyfish and other cnidarians, NEMATOCYST encapsulates a venom of love and freedom. @allthatjasss @heartheal3r / https://jas-lin.work/ https://soundcloud.com/heartheal3r

Artist: Sar (Agnes Artoonian) Title: #Movement4Artsakh Bio: Sar is a gifted seer and movement artist born and raised on occupied Gabrieleno-Tongva and Chumash land, otherwise called Los Angeles basin. Their spirituality and practice is rooted in cultivating relationships with the sovereign land, water, and its beings, through ancestral rituals of song and dance, divination, elemental veneration, medicine-making, gardening and (re)membering indigenous systems of care. Sar’s work is centered around building collective power through shared struggles for liberation, with their body as their compass. In an effort to subvert human-centric and supremacist ideations of the earth & environmental movements, Sar facilitates land-based practices and body-based research that explores our capacities to listen and collaborate with the more-than-human world. Following the recent land dispossession and ethnic cleansing of indigenous Armenians from Artsakh, Sar launched #Movement4Artsakh challenge to disrupt censorship and misinformation online, while invoking prayerful, embodied action with immediacy. @gentlespells / https://bit.ly/Movement4Artsakh
