Artist Name: Laura Stinger Title: The Spigot Makes the Mouth Real Performers: Serene Bloin, Alexsa Durrans, Miles Brenninkmeijer, Loren Davis Fisher, Ivanna Baranova Bio: Laura Stinger is currently an MFA candidate in the ceramics program at Cal State Long Beach. Their performance, sculptural, and ensemble work has been presented at Performance Space 122 (New York), La Mama (New York), New Museum (New York), Pieter (Los Angeles), Roy (Los Angeles), and Zaratan (Lisbon) among others. Currently they are looking at decomposition as a resistance strategy to engage with collapse. everything is a sculpture, sound, air, and the architecture of memory. there is no one author and there is nothing finished. objects have an embodied history and can carry messages into the future. water is a sculptor. functionality is not always physical. prosthesis as portal. mistranslation is a site of potential, meaning is not fixed. meaning may come sensorially and opaquely and much later. @re_gen_corp666 / https://laurastinger.com
